The following brief descriptions of representative client engagements organized by type of services performed highlight how Assist One product and services were implemented to address the client's specific business and technology needs.

Management Consulting

BUSINESS / OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Change Management / Corporate Governance
Assist One was engaged to facilitate the implementation of change management and corporate governance policies and procedures for a California based healthcare technology services company which had undergone recent significant change to their corporate management and organizational structure. Assist One worked with the Board of Directors and new company management to identify and improve organization structure and to establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure the maintenance and Board oversight of a future reliable corporate governance strategy.

Corporate Infrastructure Merger / Consolidation Plan
Assist One was engaged to design and implement a technology transition strategy to consolidate the IT infrastructures of 5 medium sized orthopedic clinics into one centralized infrastructure serving the needs of the multi-location corporation. Assist One successfully implemented this strategy which resulted in reduced operating costs, improved employee communications and productivity from a now centralized IT infrastructure.

Corporate Relocation / Infrastructure Relocation
Assist One was engaged by a non-profit company to assist in the planning and relocation of their IT infrastructure as part of their plan to relocate their corporate headquarters from a downtown to a suburban location. Assist One successfully developed and managed the relocation of their infrastructure which resulted in a well-planned and hassle-free relocation of their corproate IT infrastructure.

Operations Assessments
Assist One has performed several operations assessments for a range of medium to large physician group practice offices resulting in cost-saving technology and operational improvement recommendations for the practice office's business operations and technology environment. Where implemented, these recommendations have resulted in both direct cost savings and improved operational efficiencies for the practice offices allowing for improved employee productivity and utilization.

Executive Management Outsourcing
Assist One was contracted to provide outsourced technology management for a national level private education company. Assist One's successful management of this contract resulted in the development of a formal internal IT infrastructure for the company resulting in significant improvements to overall systems operations, management and performance.


RISK MANAGEMENT

COOP / COG Plan Development / Rollout Strategy
Assist One's Risk Management Services was tapped to assist a State Government's Emergency Management Agency in developing a state-wide strategy for their COOP / COG plan imlpementation as required by the new Homeland Security mandates. Assist One worked with state and government officials to successfully develop a plan implementation strategy for delivery to all state county agencies using a common application software platform.

Information Security Review
Assist One was engaged to perform a security review of patient medical records for a large physician practice office to identify security weaknesses and to provide recommendations for improvement. Recommendations were made and implemented which resulted in a more secure technology setting for the long-term storage and retrieval of the office's patient medical records.

Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support
Assist One was engaged by a legal firm to provide advanced data mining services for one of their healthcare clients in helping them to identify and resolve litigation issues relating to the accuracy and integrity of their corporate financial statements. Assist One analyzed and restored client financial data from multiple financial databases resulting in the discovery of over $4 Million in collection debt owed to the company. Our consultants were able to understand our client's complex business problems and develop a strategy to respond and resolve their concerns in a timely manner. We utilized advanced data diagnostics and recovery efforts to retrieve and produce valid management reports and account data for our client. We developed and provided improvements to their collection activities and associated financial and management procedures. The results were better management and financial procedures and improved pursuits of outstanding debt collection resulting in immediate improvements to their cash flow and bottom line.

Telecommunication Services Audit
Assist One performed comprehensive reviews of several physician office's telecommunication services and recommended service improvements which resulted in reduced telecommunications costs while improving telephone and voicemail system efficiencies and their utilization. In addition, employee and patient satisfaction improved due to less frustration with the telephony improvements. Savings for one client resulted in savings over $5,000 with annual savings of over $3,700.00.

Disaster Recovery Planning
Assist One was engaged to review and assess the disaster recovery readiness of the technology infrastructure for a medium sized healthcare clinic in the Boston metro area. The review consisted of detailed examination of their daily operations and procedures, analysis of their effectiveness, the creation of recommendations for modifications to improve those procedures, and our oversight of their implementation and adoption by the clinic.
As a follow-up, due to the nature of heavy construction in the immediate vicinity causing periodic unplanned electrical outages, components of this plan have been tested and executed successfully on several occasions.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Strategic IT Planning / Infrastructure Planning
Assist One was engaged by a large international accounting firm to perform a technology assessment for their Boston office operations resulting in cost-saving technology and operational improvement recommendations for the Boston office's business operations and technology environment. Assist One also developed both short and long-term IT project implementation planning strategies to address Email, Internet, Remote Access and advanced networking service improvements to their existing infrastructure.

Assist One was engaged by an accounting firm to provide technology evaluation services for one of their non-profit clients looking for cost-saving technology and operational improvement recommendations. Assist One successfully developed and provided strategies which resulted in reduced operating costs, improved employee efficiency and communications, and improved employee productivity.

Assist One was engaged by a real estate services company to assess their current technology environment and provide relevant cost-saving technology and operational improvement recommendations. Assist One successfully developed and provided strategies which, when implemented, resulted in reduced operating costs, improved employee efficiency and communications, and improved employee productivity.

Technology Outsourcing
Assist One was contracted to provide long-term outsourced technology management and customer support for a large physician's clinic. Assist One is currently retained on a multi-year renewable contract to completely manage their technology infrastructure. Assist One's successful management of this on-going contract has resulted in fewer technology problems, reduced employee and client frustration, increased system efficiency and performance and reduced operating costs.

NETWORKING AND TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE

Technology Infrastructure Design (Multiple Locations)

Members of Assist One's management team provided oversight and development responsibility in the implementation of multiple location local area networks for a nationally recognized Massachusetts based private education services company. Implementation consisted of creating a centralized network infrastructure at their headquarters location and the installation of local area networks at twelve locations in seven states. The successful implementation of this project allowed for the company to evolve into a highly productive and operational education environment for both administrative employees, students and teaching staff across the multiple private and charter school locations.

Technology Infrastructure Design / Establishment
Assist One was engaged by a new e-training and education services company to design and implement a technology architecture for establishment of their primary office location in Massachusetts. Assist One successfully designed and implemented this solution from which the company evolved into a highly productive and operational education services company.

LAN / WAN Upgrade, Platform Conversion / Migration
Assist One developed and implemented an updated WAN solution for a large insurance agency to improve connectivity issues between remote office locations. Assist One developed and implemented this cost-savings solution incorporating the use of Fast Ethernet hubs, routers, 56K leased lines, fax server software and the migration from a Novell to a Microsoft platform with centralized application processing across the LAN / WAN. Implementation of these updates and technology hardware helped increased the capacity and performance capabilities of the remote location's staff and their productivity. This significantly improved employee access and productivity at the remote office location by improving communication speed and technology.

Wide Area Network (WAN) Extension - Phase I - Data
Assist One designed and implemented a WAN extension solution for a large physician's clinic to address remote location connectivity issues. Assist One developed and implemented this cost-savings solution incorporating the use of a point to point T1 service connection between the main and remote office. Future use of this wide bandwidth solution will also include the addition of voice/fax and video services between the offices as described separately below. Implementation of this service significantly increased the capacity and performance capabilities of the remote location's staff and their productivity. This significantly improved employee access and productivity at the remote office location by improving communication speed and technology.

WAN Extension - Phase II - Data / Fax / Voice / Video

Assist One designed and implemented an advanced telecommunications and networking WAN extension solution for a large physician's clinic to expand communication services between remote physician office locations. Assist One developed and implemented this cost-savings solution which incorporates the use of advanced technology to provide data/fax/voice and video integration between the remote and central offices. In addition, the additional telecommunications savings to be gained by integrating voice and data services will help to reduce the overall cost of the project while significantly increasing the capacity and performance capabilities of the remote location's staff and their productivity.

Technology Infrastructure Design / Establishment
Assist One was engaged by a new application software development company to design and implement a technology architecture for establishment of their primary office location in Massachusetts. Assist One successfully designed and implemented this effective and reliable solution for the company.


APPLICATION SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INTEGRATION

Web-based Application Implementation and Training
Assist One was engaged by a Fortune level insurance provider to assist with managing the implementation of their statewide agent's migration from a non-Internet based application to an Internet based agency management application. In doing so, Assist One performed agency diagnostic reviews, technical requirement verifications and implementation scheduling for agent offices. Additionally, Assist One was engaged to perform agency training for their regional level agents regarding Windows operating systems and use of the Internet. The seminars conducted provided an increased educational awareness of the Internet to the agents resulting in better decision making for their future connectivity requirements.
